Ophthalmic Examination Unit

Out Patient Ophthalmic Examination Unit :

This unit has equipment like Slit Lamp Bio Microscope, Applanation Tonometer (Haag Striet) Auto Refractometer (Computer eye testing), Keratometer (Bausch & Lomb) and Indirect Ophthalmoscope enabling patients to be examined thoroughly without being shifted.

Ultra Sound 'A' Scan

Ultra Sound 'A' Scan (Shin Nippon, Japan) :

This instrument is used to measure the axial length of the eyeball and the power of the IOL to be implanted.

YAG Laser

YAG Laser (Nidek, Japan) :

This is a highly sophisticated laser used for treatment of After Cataract and Glaucoma. It is a simple outpatient procedure lasting only a few minutes.

Pachymeter

Pachymeter :

This is used to measure the Corneal Thickness prior to Excimer Laser and Lasik Laser for correction of Refractive errors.

Humphrey's Visual Field Analyser :

The Computerized automatic visual field analyzer is used for visual field analysis in patients with glaucoma or neurological disease. It is highly accurate machine with excellent reproducibility.

The Synoptophore in our Squint Clinic is used for correcting small degrees of squint and convergence weakness in patients.

Keratometer

Keratometer :

This instrument is used for measurement of corneal curvature prior to contact lens fitting (BAUSCH & LOMB).We have several types of contact lenses such as soft , glass permeable, extended wear, disposable, Toric and cosmetic lenses.

Vitrectomy Machine

Vitrectomy Machine :

Appasamy: This is used for sophisticated surgeries eg. Vitrectomy for removal of blood from vitreous cavity REC is equipped with endo illuminator, endo laser and all other vitreous micro surgical instruments.

This new Green Laser (ALCON EYE LITE) has completed our armamentorium. This state-of-the-art equipment is used for treatment of various retinal disorders. Eg. Diabetic Retinopathy.
